“ This is a gem of a restaurant. I was told that the hot dogs are fantastic. Well, they were right. If you're in Petersburg, you must go to this restaurant. ”
“ Good day, I have left a review before, but I had to come back and leave a review for breakfast. As usual service was good. Breakfast was just as good as lunch. The atmosphere was very pleasant. When you can actually hear the music playing in the background that's a good vibe for me. For those wondering you need not wonder, stop by there is something on the menu for everyone. ”
“ Food is outstanding. Service is enthusiastic. Ambiance is homey. And the slaw dog.... Best hotdog there ever was. ”
“ THE best breakfast I've had...possibly ever!! My b/f and I ordered many different items, since it was our first time. The French toast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, house fries (or deliciously crisp, breakfast potatoes), grits and crispy bacon were all prepared to perfection - in our humble opinions. We're very much looking forward to experiencing lunch/dinner options. ”
“ A classic. An authentic diner. It's been in business since 1920. This is the type of place we look for when we travel. Southern hospitality and the food was great. ”
“ This place is popular for a reason! There is sometimes a wait on the weekends, but it is worth it. The service is always great, and the food is consistently delicious. My go to is a bowl of beans with greens on the side - tastes so much like my Granny's that it brought tears to my eyes the first time I ordered it. ”
“ Came here as a mid-stop on our way to NC to visit family. You Yelpers were accurate in your reviews! We had a very nice breakfast. We were seated quickly and got to sit in the outdoor patio which just had the heat turned on. Our waitress immediately got to us and had the Southern Charm. Our drink orders got out right away. My ham and egg biscuit sandwich with cheddar was excellent with a fluffy biscuit. The well done at my request home fries were some of the best I've had. Maybe a little on the blackened side but still very tasty. My kid's "healthy" parfait of yogurt, granola, and packed blueberries was finished in a jiffy, and the waffles and eggs my wife and other kid got also were quite nice. After several hours on the road, this hit the spot and it was easy to get to off the highway. Men's room had the movie theater sticky floor but the best sign ever. Coke products! Yeah! $52 not including tip. Friendly service. They will break $100s here! ”
“ This is a great local spot for breakfast and lunch. Prices are great, food is fabulous and service is excellent. ”
“ Just a relaxing, awesome southern breakfast experience. Great menu, corn cakes as a side was great. We would have stopped on our way back from Florida but they are closed on Sundays. ”
“ The 2 of us shared 1 breakfast and had plenty. Our hash, 2 eggs and Corn Cake (biscuit substitute) breakfast was delicious. The hash was crispy brown on the outside-just as we like it. The over-easy eggs atop the hash adds to the perfect flavors. This Corn Cake thing was new for us. It's a pancake made from cornmeal instead of flour. We added syrup which was already at the table for a wonderful tasting experience. We were to early for lunch. Lunch didn't start until 11AM so we couldn't order off that menu but saw a few things we wouldn't mind trying. When an outfit is the best hotdog joint in a city, that's an item to try IMO. It's on out next time list. We were on our way to Greenville SC. This is an easy off/on Interstate stop and worth the effort if you are in the area. ”
